Premiums
- Contractor license bond premiums are based on credit.
- The following rates apply to all classifications except C-39 Roofing and C-53 Swimming Pool.
- Good Credit: 1-year term = $116.00, 2-year term = $195.00
- Standard Credit: 1-year term = $575.00
- Low Credit: 1-year term = $1,334.00
- No credit check required for first time licensees.
- Contractor license bonds are filed electronically with the California Contractors State License Board.
You will be sent a copy for your records. You are not required to mail a copy to the CSLB.
You can check the status of your bond filing on the
Contractor State License Board website. CSLB usually posts bond information within 5 days of receipt.
